the good, the bad, and the holy crap!
As mentioned in one of my first posts, I suffer from self-diagnosed reverse anorexia, the imaginary condition where I am really much fatter than I think I am. I can’t tell you the number of photographs (roughly 72.6%) where I see a photograph of myself and have to actually exert mental energy trying to identify MYSELF. Then when I do, it’s such a shocking revelation, that I can’t decide whether to throw up or pee a little. I think it’s actually some sort of self-preservation mechanism, to keep my positive self-image intact and secure. I’ve always fancied myself, even when the outside packaging could use a major overhaul. I thought, at the time, that loving myself unconditionally on the inside was enough. But in the famous words of the profound philosopher Dr. Phil: “When you know better, you do better.” Today, I know that eating healthy and prioritizing myself are mandatory elements of a holistic positive image. And so, with humility, acceptance, and pride, I present to you…

In the year since I took this last picture I’ve lost another 40 pounds. Which might be impressive, but it’s only because I gained 10 pounds 5 times and then managed to lose it 4. For non-accoutanty types, I can totes help you out: I’m up 10 pounds.
I don’t know when/where/how I’ll find my giveafuckness (it’s kinda technical, m’k?) but I’ll let you know.
